After a few months break and just going back to playing in our basement, we have hit a stride that we are pretty amped about. We are four new songs in and have three on the burner. After coming pretty close to breaking up for all the normal and various reasons band break up, we have hit a level of understanding that only 3 and a 1/2 years together can create. We will start recording in March and hopefully be road ready by April...please stay tuned and join us on Facebook, Twitter and whatever other social media site we both exist on...navigate to those pages on our links. We're ready to start a Revolution! We hope you'll join us...
Winter Solstice
by MCV
Nov 12, 2009
In the winter the leaves and small branches on a tree die because it cannot get water or moisture from the air. However, the tree spends that time growing its roots deep to find water and in the process grows stronger from the inside. Then when the spring comes the tree is fuller and stronger then it was before. MCV will be taking this winter to grow our roots, to reach new inspirations and become stronger. See you in March.

We just got back from the south and are wanting to get back in the van and go right back. We thought we met cool people on the last trip down, but this was way above anything we've ever experienced. Indy was hot...Liz's band smoked it & her bar is a really fun hang! In Nashville @ The Basement we had a good crowd, met a bunch of new friends, saw our old friends and signed a bunch of t-shirts & cd's. Since we are just kinda regular people, we are still trying to figure this out, but we do know that it is really nice to have people support you like that and want to remember the night that way. We didn't want to leave cuz the show was so fun and went back the next day to see some great bands at The Basement/Grimey's Rocktoberfest. Met an amazing musician named Patrick Sweany & saw WAR BAND, they should both def be checked out by everyone! Nashville always inspires, thanks so much Grimey...it was good to be back!

After that we headed to Louisville to play a club we hadn't played before called The Highland Tap Room. We went in and set up, not sure about where the night would take us. As we played the people there were really cool and texted their friends to come to the next set. By the end of the night the place was packed and we were playing as long as humanly possible. We had to stop when Joey cut himself on his b-string and started bleeding on his white guitar (very rawk!) The party continued after Emily, Clayton & Justin offered to let us crash at their house...it turned into a late night with killer new friends, the best pizza we have ever had & a touch of nausea the next daym (yeah, Busch Lite is cheap and it works, but doesn't treat you well the next day)

Thanks so much everyone, gonna work on the new songs this week and have booked recording time for December...excited about where 2010 is going to take us...

Just realized its been a while since we've updated, been more interested in playing and writing than the web...That said :):) we are booking fall shows all around the Midwest and writing a lot. Life has taken some interesting turns and a lot of this winters darkness has turned into very bright light. I read a great quote from Steve Jobs that said 'You cannot connect the dots looking forward, only looking back." and it feels really true and poignant.

We're really excited about going back to Nashville, Louisville, Indy, Paris (TN that is), Manhattan, Kansas City, Lawrence, St Louis, Kalama(Zoo), Ann Arbor, Our ever beloved Chicago, our other Beloveds Lansing, and Grand Rapids in October & November.

Still waiting on the film dates for 'Keep on Rolling', a film that we are going to be in with Jeff Daniels, Bob Segar and I think Jon Voight, we'll keep ya posted on that so we can get everyone in the club scene...

With Love,
Julee, Matt & Joey
